How long does it take to receive 1st class mail from denver colorado to smithville texas?

I sent a large envelop with delivery confirmation first class from NY. Tracking online currently says that it is ‘enroute and left the post office in Denver Colorado on Aug 29, 2007 at 220 am.’ I needed it to arrive to its destination in Smithville Texas Sept 2nd 2007. The online tracking updates often. I’m concerned its not there yet.
I forgot to mentioned that this was sent from New York on August 22nd and the tracking says that on August 29th it left denver colorado at 220 am.

I always thought it took 3 business days from anywhere, but with the holiday I am not sure.

Well, I know from Texas to California takes three days. I’m sure it’s the same for Colorado to Texas. Good luck.
But, I’m very convinced the USPS *****.

You should have sent it Priority or Express. I lived in Colorado Springs, one hr. south of Denver for many years. It often took a WEEK to get mail from Denver! If 1st class mail could get anywhere in the U.S. in 3 days, why would they have Priority available? Anyway, Sept.2 was a Sunday, and today, the 3rd, is a holiday, so there is no way it could be delivered before the 4th. Sorry.

Guy at the post office said that most of the time, there is no time diff. between priority and first class. priority is 2-3 days.
Charlie is right, yesterday was Sun. today is Laborday. Updates may be delayed as well.
