Boulder and Broomfield (which is a suburb of Denver) tend to have the very best schools but Cherry Creek in Denver is pretty good too because it’s where the money is. The last time I rented right in Denver was a couple of years ago and the place was 2 bedroom, 1 bath single family home near the University of Denver that cost us $1500 a month.

If you don’t want to go to the ‘berbs, in Denver neighborhoods in the southeast quadrant are usually regarded as safest. Many areas of Northwest Denver are very up and coming.

Here are some school rankings based on test scores

Here is CraigsList Denver to get an idea of rentals

I have a 9 year old and a 15 year old and we have found the best neighborhoods and schools to be in Westminster Colorado. We currently live in Westminster and are very pleased with the cost of living, quality of life, safety of neighborhoods, and great schools! You can find out more about the Denver Metro Area here.

Yes. Try southwest (Littleton). Lakewood is great too. Try to avoid North-east and East Denver. Along with southern Evergreen

An area near downtown called Five Points would be good for you.

Wheat Ridge and Arvada are your safest bet. From someone with experience don’t go near Five Points or Montbello. Aurora is not good either/

Surroundings areas-parts of Evergreen and Idaho Springs are scary
