I am 24 years old and a teacher looking to move to Denver, however though I do not drive. My husband does though. Would we be okay living in Denver with only one car?? And, is the public transportation safe?

Does ANYONE need more than one car per family…anywhere?

find a home near a bus stop and carpool. You should be okay. Unless you decide to schlep your kids to some school they can’t walk to themselves.

I think you will be fine with one car, your husband could drive you when you needed him to, and the transportation system is actually very efficient- visit fore more info-It is actually very helpful.

Good Luck and you would be making the right choice moving here.

I think Denver has one of the best public transportation systems I’ve seen. The light rail train travels along the I-25 corridor in Denver with many stops, then you can catch a bus to go to other areas. I don’t live there, but my daughter does. I think it’s pretty safe. She and her husband only have 1 car and they do fine.

Yes, if you either live or work remotely near a lightrail station then it is very easy to only need one car. The lightrail system is very efficient with its run times and runs almost 24 hours a day. Heres a little city page if you need to look up anything else! Good decision to move!
