I-76 does not go to Grand Junction

You would be thinking of I-70.
As a former truck driver in Colorado, the mountains are very unpredictable. It could be sunny and warm on one side of a pass and slick and icy on the other. Colorado DOT does a good job of keeping the roads clear. If it is bad just take your time and no sudden movements on ice.

I-76 does not go west through the whole state, it turns into I-70 at about wadsworth. You might see some snow when driving through the mountains.

My crystal ball says…..Wait! I 76 ends at Wadsworth! You canĀ“t get to Grand Junction on i76!
And it’s looking pretty nasty here…I live about an hour west of Denver on I 70! You are looking at pretty cloudy, and possibly snowy weather on the passes!
