I’ll be moving to Colorado for school. I’m looking for an affordable and safe area. My school will be on York St in Denver. Whats a good place to live and easy to commute to?
Also, whats the price range of an apartment/house for 1 bed 1 bath?
1441 York St

I live in arvada, on the edge of westminster. It’s very nice and safe up here, but you don’t want to live in the middle of arvada or below. Just stick to the north side of Denver and you’ll be fine. Westminster, thornton, northglenn or anything above them. Those are good ones and pretty much everything is an easy commute because of the freeways.

definitely not near the real world house hehehe
umm, i think as long as it is close to your school and people you know live around there, you’ll be ok

Do you know the cross street on York, or something more specific as to the location of the school? York St travels for miles through several different communities, and this would be easier to answer w/ some more detail.
1441 York, OK that’s in the Congress Park neighborhood which is nice but pretty pricey, you might be able to rent a room in a house for a reasonable price. Just to the south is the Washington Park/ University of Denver neighborhoods which is equally nice and possibly more affordable depending on what you’re looking for. You are also not far from downtown, which is VERY pricey. You’re less than a block from Colfax Ave, which is where you’ll find all sorts of unsavory things from cheap motels, drugs, to prostitution. Not too far north you’ll be in the hood.
